Vice President Marketing and Sales of Ford Australia, Mark Winslow, today revealed the new BF Falcon and SY Territory range at the Australian International Motor Show.
"Economy, performance, refinement and safety are key cornerstones of the new BF Falcon and SY Territory," he commented.
"Our dedicated team of engineers has worked hard to tailor a vehicle which fits within these parameters, yet at the same time develop technological innovations which deliver over and above requirements associated with fuel economy and EuroIII emissions.
"I am confident Ford customers will feel rewarded by the substantial enhancements available with the new range."
New styling, new colours, and an engine offering class leading levels of performance are stand out features of the new range.
Enhanced fuel economy, thanks in part to the upgraded four-speed automatic or Ford's new, state-of-the-art six-speed automatic transmission, promise fuel economy improvements of up to 11 per cent. (Based on Fairmont Ghia and XR6 six cylinder models with six speed automatic transmission).
Additional highlights of the new programme include:
- A reworked Barra 190 4.0-litre six-cylinder engine offering significant increases in fuel economy, more refinement and increases in power and torque
- A world-class ZF six-speed automatic transmission available in premium Falcon sedans and utes, and AWD versions of Territory
- A reverse camera in the Territory Ghia, optional on Territory TS
- Dynamic Stability Control available on RWD versions of Territory and in premium Falcon models
- Traction control in all petrol engine Falcon sedans and wagons and XR Utes
- New exterior styling for the Falcon range, including Fairlane and Falcon Ute
"BF Falcon and SY Territory will be sure to impress," said Mr. Winslow.
"Falcon has been an Aussie nameplate for 45 years, and Territory has enjoyed unprecedented success since launch last year. These two new models will continue to build on the heritage and momentum established by their earlier namesakes." |
