The Melbourne Grand Prix is on again from the 15th - 18th March.
2006 was the closest F1 Championship in years, with Fernando Alonso clinching his second successive title in the last race of the season.
Amazingly enough, the 2007 Championship is all set to be even more competitive and more exciting.
Not only have there been major changes at all the leading teams, in 2007 all the cars will be on the same Bridgestone tyres, so there’ll be no excuses – and definitely no holding back.

The biggest names in the game have all been on the move as the teams battle to lift their performance to an even higher level.
F1 Champion Fernando Alonso has switched from Renault to boost McLaren’s title hopes, but that also gives Giancarlo Fisichella the chance to take over as Renault’s lead driver. Those are big boots to fill, but not as big as the ones Kimi Raikkonen has stepped into. Ferrari have chosen the Fin to replace Michael Schumacher, giving him the job of putting the Italian Stallions back on top. Meanwhile, Aussie Mark Webber has a new team and a new attitude. No more Mr Nice Guy – he’s out to put Red Bull Racing on the podium, and this time he might just have the team to do it.

The first race of 2007.

With the Australian GP back in its place as the first event of the F1 calendar, the eyes of the whole world will be on Albert Park to see who gets the all-important edge in the first race of 2007. The battle for the podium will be hotter than ever, so expect first up fireworks.
