Holdens striking S3X concept SUV

Holden has shown the striking S3X concept SUV as the preview for a seven-seater Holden destined for Australia next year.

Holden today confirmed a production version of the S3X would be introduced into the Australian market during 2006, offering the full flexibility of an SUV-style vehicle with the confidence of the Holden brand.

The production vehicle will closely resemble the S3X which has gathered major design accolades since its world debut in late 2004.

And the car has an Australian influence with two former Holden designers, Michael Simcoe and Max Wolff, part of the design team which ensured the car would attract global attention.

EFIJY is a radical pillarless custom coupe boasting V8 Supercar power under the bonnet, Chevrolet Corvette underbody and state-of-the-art automotive technology throughout.

The ‘Soprano Purple’ paintwork highlights its curvaceous 5.2-metre body, reinterpreting the classic design cues of the iconic 1953 FJ Holden. It delivers retro, mumbo and gizmos in one glorious package.

Tokyo-- Mitsubishi Motors Corporation will be showing a number of concept cars, a proprietary next-generation electric vehicle (MIEV) and other technologies, rally machines, welfare cars and current production models at the 39th Tokyo Motor Show, held at Makuhari Messe in Chiba Prefecture just outside Tokyo.


 Mitsubishi Motors will be exhibiting a total of 17 cars (14 during press days) on its stand. Special show models include: the MITSUBISHI Concept-X, a concept car with styling that raises the bar on performance car looks, boasts Mitsubishi's 4WD-based Super All Wheel Control (S-AWC) vehicle dynamics control system, and is the very embodiment of "driving pleasure"; the MITSUBISHI Concept-D:5 (world premiere), a go-anywhere, high-performance concept car that embodies the company's "utmost safety" ideal; and, the innovative new-age i minicar.
